Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how MAG LABS LLC ("Axo," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use askonaxo.com and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Creator accounts. Email address, password (stored as a secure hash by our authentication provider) or Google sign-in identifier, display name, username, title, bio, suggested questions, profile and background images, pricing settings, and availability status.
Buyers. Email address, the content of your questions and any clarifications, and your chosen settings (such as asking anonymously). Buyers may use the Service without creating an account; conversations are linked to your email.
Conversations. Messages exchanged between Buyers and Creators, and related status events (paid, answered, clarification used, closed, refunded), which we retain to operate the Service and resolve disputes.
Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive transaction details such as amounts, fees, timestamps, and payout status, but we do not collect or store your full payment card number. Stripe's handling of your payment data is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Usage and device data. Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected through server logs and authentication cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure the Service.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to: deliver paid questions and answers; process payments, payouts, and automatic refunds; send transactional emails (receipts, reply notifications, new-question alerts, refund notices); provide support; prevent fraud and abuse; enforce our Terms of Service; and improve the Service. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show third-party advertising.
3. Anonymous Questions
If a Buyer asks anonymously, their identity is hidden from the Creator. Axo still collects and retains the Buyer's email address and transaction details for receipts, notifications, refunds, security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance. Anonymity applies to what the Creator sees, not to Axo's records.
4. How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers that operate the Service on our behalf:
- Stripe — payment processing and Creator payouts
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage
- Vercel — application hosting
- Our transactional email provider — delivery of the emails described above
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights, safety, or property of Axo or others, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case this Policy will continue to apply to previously collected data.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account and conversation data while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business purposes (such as transaction records, dispute resolution, and legal compliance). Creators can erase profile content (display name, bio, photos, pricing, suggested questions) at any time using Clear profile data in Settings. To request deletion of your account or of Buyer conversation data associated with your email, contact hello@maglabs.llc; we will honor verified requests except where retention is required by law or for completed financial records.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including the EEA/UK under GDPR and California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email hello@maglabs.llc. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them. If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed credentials, and access controls through our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Users
The Service is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the U.S. and other locations where our providers operate.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
